The Somerset Show is over…this was my third time to the show and it has been the best one. Weather didn’t help for sure. Very low temps and saturday a nice snow started to fall since the early morning.
Despite the weather conditions all the show has been great in term of visitors and exibithors…Normally the best day is supposed to be saturday, but this year what happened (at least on in my booth) was exactly the opposite. Very good starting day on friday, low during staurday also because soon after lunch most of the people left the show caue the snow falling. Sunday has been the greatest day.
Once again had the chance to meet “old” friends and had the pleasure to know new ones. Always touching the stories of italians who several years ago emigrated to US. When they realize i’m from Italy, nice and touching conversations are always welcome.
Next year for sure i’ll do something dedicated to the fly fishing in Italy. Too much people from US travel each year to Italy and they have no idea about the fly fishing opportunities offered by my country. Especially in the region where i live these fishing opportunities can be easily grab due to the strategic position of the Abruzzo region which can be easily reached just driving one hour east of Rome.
Thanks to all the friends who stopped by the booth for asking informations about the rods or for casting them and/or buying them….i’ll be back at home, once again, with new energies to put on the next works…see you next year..
